The history of LA Elwell is the tale of an exciting merger of two companies.

LA Rollform began in Wolverhampton from a market opportunity in the UK’s window reinforcement market and its growth since 2004 has been fast and furious, recognised as one of the fastest growing manufacturing companies in its sector.

The company helped its clients to technically “de-mystify” the market and provided them with sustainable, real value for money solutions both in design, manufacturing and logistics.

Elwell Sections meanwhile goes back more than half a century - to 1955 – becoming one of the country’s leading manufacturer of Cold Roll Formed Steel Sections, based in West Bromwich.

Now combined, and working from these two key locations centrally in the West Midlands, LA Elwell was born in 2007.

The new company mixes the best of its 50-year tradition with the new.

At the request of its clients, the new company has already embarked on a new diversification program and is providing Cold Rolled Manufacturing solutions with the same business principles applied in many other sectors.

In 2005 the company acquired its own in-house tool making facilities to provide self sufficiency and further cost reductions and efficiencies.

Now, with two companies combined, it is without doubt the UK’s leading independent manufacturers of Cold Roll Formed Steel Sections.

Looking forward, from its two factories in the heart of the industrial West Midlands, the company is perfectly situated to offer a comprehensive Design, Manufacturing, Delivery and Support Service to customers throughout the UK and overseas.

A programme of continued investment in new plant and machinery now continues apace, and enables LA Elwell to serve a wide range of markets and needs including:

• Modular Build and Construction
• Cargo Handling/Commercial Vehicle Bodies,
